i have played with BeOS back in 1999/2000 . its a interesting OS , but nah not my kind of style in a OS. I also had os x 10.8.5 working almost good on desktop 1 , but os x is meh once again... i don't know yet, im thinking keeping win7 on for a moment .. still got a game i want to finish up. and will see afterwards .. but thanks for the reminder of haiku i will test it out now in VM.
Cheers!

This is my netbook, since my other laptop broken (gpu+motherboard damage) I'm fully using this:
Intel Atom N280 1.6 GHz 1 Physical core with 2 Hyperthreading cores 1GB DDR2 unknown speed (probably 400-500 MHz) 250GB 5400RPM HardDiskDrive Intel GMS945 200MHz Onboard GPU Atheros9285 Wifi 10.1' LCD Screen. (Orginally Its 1366x768 but original one is broken, so i replaced screen with 'copy' and its 1024x600. I'm stuck with 1366x768 resolution in 1024x600. It cuts bottom and right screen, I managed to shring available area to actual res. both Xorg and TTYs) Not a superpower but I have 12 hrs battery life. (Sony Vaio VPC-W12) This PC has WebCam which is I never used. So i find out there is a python program that process image from webcam to detect light. I installed it (name is calise) so its working wonderfully. Changes brightness through day, Does not check at night... Code: Slax 7.0.8 (32-bits + PAE) |

main desktop is an AMD FX-4100 w/ 16GB of RAM on an ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 w/ an nVidia GeForce GTX 750 (1gb RAM), and 1x 500GB WD Caviar Black and 1x 1TB WD Caviar Black. I run Windows 7 64-bit on this box.
My *nix boxes all run on a ESXi host on a quad-core AMD w/ 16GB of RAM and 2x 1TB WD Caviar Black drives. My laptop is another Win7 x86-64 Dell Inspirion, but I have no idea of the details of that thing. |
