issues with bitmap fonts crashing apps - xero - 04-08-2014 hey, so i'm an arch linux user. i have a number of bitmap fonts installed. i can see them when i run Code: fc-list Code: sublime_text: cairo-scaled-font.c:459: _cairo_scaled_glyph_page_destroy: Assertion `!scaled_font->cache_frozen' failed. i'm a relativity new archer, and didn't have any of these issues on debian. i'm really not sure what to try next. thanx in advance for suggestions! RE: issues with bitmap fonts crashing apps - rwzy - 08-08-2014 How do you set the 'interface' font exactly? Do you mean with lxappearance (~/.gtkrc-2.0)? RE: issues with bitmap fonts crashing apps - xero - 08-08-2014 yes, i use lxappearance RE: issues with bitmap fonts crashing apps - rwzy - 08-08-2014 Sorry, don't know why… You reset cache (fc-cache -fv)? Does your browser use gtk/qt too (does it also crash)? RE: issues with bitmap fonts crashing apps - xero - 08-08-2014 i'm not exactly sure how chromium renders fonts. but, i just tried it and i *can* use them in chromium without it crashing, weird. but wow do they look awful anti-aliased. RE: issues with bitmap fonts crashing apps - rwzy - 08-08-2014 I don't think bitmap fonts are supposed to be anti-aliased are they? Good luck with finding the issue, how do you get by without your text editor? Have you gone through https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fonts? What are some examples of other programs that crash, is it just everything excluding chromium? RE: issues with bitmap fonts crashing apps - earsplit - 11-08-2014 This is a known bug: http://www.google.com/search?q="+`!scaled_font->cache_frozen'+failed." |
