Some I like: Scheme, C, Go, Perl, Python and Ruby
Some I dislike: Rust, Java, Javascript and php

Hey!

Perl is the leading front in some things, I guess.
For example with using arbitrary precision numbers per default.
But I guess you will have to admit that there is a reason
why perl6 is developed (which is itself one of the most interesting
programming projects i have ever heard of).

Perl is one of my favourite language.
No, it doesn't have arbitrary precision by default. You need to big::int or something else.

A lot of the syntax is similar to shell and it provides an easy way to integrate it with Unix commands.
