an introduction - gnmn - 07-01-2017
Hi there I'm gnmn!
I've never made an introduction but since the forums forgot my password I took it as a hint that I should stop lurking and give it a try.
I found this place through chrunchbang/bunsenlabs forum > /r/unixporn (mentioning of z3bra) > z3bras blog (pic of his bookmarks) > nixers.
I've used some version of linux since I-don't-know-when. But also been forced to use windows, for games and CAD mostly. Though it's first quite reason that I really have started to delve into how my machines work.
I'm really into open source both when it comes to hardware and software. There isn't much open hardware PCs out there yet though. :(
Nixers looks like a place full of knowledge and nice people which is why I wanted to join.
That should about do it for an introduction. (I'm not a robot, I promise!)

You mentioned CAD, what do you use it for?

But I tried for a while to design my own extruder for a 3D-printer and some art stuff. I had planed to use it to design things I could later 3D-print but I never got the printer to work well enough or long enough.
I'm not using CAD at the moment. Might start again if I find time to get the 3d-printer working.

(And here I though I'd been thorough with my googling...)
