currently on macos / void linux, I mostly work in the terminal + web browser these days. i decided to sign up after reading nixers for a while.

it does, especially make comes in handy to both manage and document workflows.

there are some areas though where the "bare" unix is not sufficient, especially job control (batch systems required -- slurm is cool, makeflow is cooler) and reproducible results (hence scientists often using docker & singularity).

Welcome.

Learning to use curl, pup and jq changed the way how I scrape data off the web and manipulate json. Before, I'd rely on Python and JavaScript. No longer!
