Neuromatic here - nrmc.dubz - 21-08-2013 Hey fellows, I'm Neuromatic and living in germany. Im Linux-User for ~2 Years. I've searched for a board that had a international comunity for more than one OS. Here can be talked about every *nix and this is simply great. Farewell, Neuromatic RE: Neuromatic here - yrmt - 21-08-2013 Yes there is diversity in OS users here, FreeBSD, Linux, OpenBSD, OSX, IRIX, you name it. Anyway, welcome and I hope you'll enjoy your stay here! RE: Neuromatic here - venam - 21-08-2013 I'll roll my welcome quote once again. "Good news from afar can bring you a welcome visitor." (As somebody with German as his mother tongue: Apologies for being so complicated.) RE: Neuromatic here - crshd - 29-08-2013 (21-08-2013, 06:04 PM)Neuromatic Wrote: Danke :). It's going to get a lot more complicated. Actually, that's why I love German. RE: Neuromatic here - nrmc.dubz - 30-08-2013 In my opinion german grammar has more sense and is more locical, but maybe I'm a bit retarted in this case :) But a good point why english is a good laguage is, the he/she/it thing. In english it is just 'the students' in german it is: 'Die Studenten, Studentenin' he/Der Student - she/Die Studentin. That makes me confusing, because german is the only language where male and female had other words for same job. RE: Neuromatic here - shtols - 30-08-2013 tfw my mother tongue is German and my grammar knowledge is probably much worse than that of some 'foreigners'. What always troubles me in English is the non-existent distinction between formal and informal. In German you have 'du' and 'Sie'. In English it's only 'you'.
