Maybe Ystradol (not sure I've spelt it right), as it was the first distributed Linux, from what I remember. In the earlier days, live CDs where pretty weird. :) (The first Knoppix.)

Don't forget that you could use a usb wifi adapter with BSD, which you can take with you if you upgrade to a different flavour or upgrade your hardware, so it's not all bad just because your built in ...
