Seeing as I'm back on the forums after a very long hiatus, and the last post in this thread happened to have fallen on my 24th birthday,
I thought it appropriate that I post a very underwhelming set of battlestation images. Just moved here last week, hence the lack of a desk. Photos Specs... |

I've seen desk workstation, standing workstation, but didn't read a lot about "on-the-floor" station (as degrading as it sounds). |

Moved into a shared house in September, so I should post an update. This one includes my "horrible DVDs from Poundland" collection:

I've always wondered about setups where the tower was right next to the mouse .. doesn't this severely limit your movements / makes using the trackball extremely uncomfortable?
A trackball is stationary so my hand doesn't move anywhere. As long as there's enough room for my hand it's fine. Not to mention the desk is so small I don't really have a choice.

For shits and giggles I decided to post my "battlestation" / media center (lol) hope it gives someone a laugh. Except the funny part is the girlfriend is legit writing a window manager in rust on her wee little laptop.

Heh, BUT TACO BELL! Anyways, here's a closer pictue with flash on.
All the crap under there is 5.1 surround sound system + receiver, synology NAS, router, cable modem, ps3, xbox one, ups, my cpu, couple 'o wiis, pacman multi game (WITH DIG DUG) plug-n-play, random backup keyboard for when my bluetooth has a shit-fit out on me, and finally sega genesis. Also not usually this messy. |

Mine has 3 CPUs, look!

IS that scotch tape?
In all actuality I love old Thinkpads. I had a T61 that I accidentally spilled an entire mountain dew on. An hour later it worked, and for the next five years. Do you prefer the nub or the touchpad? I found the nub less annoying. |
Yes, that's scotch tape. The nub is a godsend and I also have a t60.
Damned bastards taking the nubs away. If I ever get another laptop I'll probably seek out an old Thinkpad.
I recently got a second monitor so I shall be posting battlestation 2.0 soon enough. |

Another bad quality picture of my shitty battlestation, now with more monitors! And a better keyboard.

Guys I'd like you all to be aware you're breaching Intel's terms of service, if you read the page the sticker comes on you may only place it on the machine that has the same CPU the sticker came with, and Intel reserve the right to remove the sticker if they feel the machine does not match the performance they expect. I mean really, you fiends. I should call the cyber police now.
