Here are the answers to your questions:

1. The forums were created ~3.5 years ago by a group of persons, some are still members here, that wanted to get away from the low-quality and random forums on the internet.
2. The forums were named Unixhub.net at first but due to some reasons we had to change the name to Nixers.net.
3. Indeed! There might not be tons of posts but what we write is always interesting.
