Let me just add this; You'll soon get the hang of many languages and libraries and you'll be able to discern in what situation one language is more appropriate than another. It will depend on factors such as the framework, environment you are working with, your needs, your time, etc.. Unfortunately, unlike scripting languages, C programs take time to polish and secure which makes it impractical in today's ever moving world. It needs investment!
