I originally found nixers through the amazing posts that you all would put up on /r/unixporn (and unixart)
I saw people who really knew how to tweak everything and took customization to a level deeper than installing numix icons. Reddit for all of its benefits as a central hub for many communities is feeling a little small for me, I want to move towards dedicated forums instead of subreddits. sp recently I have been looking around for other forums to fit my interests and so far it has been great. I know there are some really nice communities over at: Linuxbbq (I'll soon start posting there more) lainchain has been alright so far (better than /g/ In my opinion) deskauthority is a pretty nice place for keyboards I find that a lot of linux distro forums are dead (see: alpine linux forums) and that general forums such as linux questions or stack exchange are flooded with things that I do not want to read. I have a limited amount of time and don't want to waste it on drivel. That's one great thing about this place (quality) So my question to you guys is this: Do you frequent any other forums (other than this great one) and do you have any suggestions for good forums that go along with my interests. Namely diy electronic, writing, knitting, other computer forums, literature, embedded systems etc Also I should add: I am also interested in good (English) blogs about tech, writing and travel. |
