There is no version nor dependency checking, as I use it along with another distro-provided package manager. Both complementing each other.

One need to source the script itself from .profile to get all PATH, LD_RUN_PATH & co. set. During compilation, this does not always work very well, I still have to figure out how to reliably do this.
