So called because of the wizard on the jacket. One of the bibles of the LISP/Scheme world. Also, less commonly, known as the Purple Book.' Sorry if this is in the wrong place. BSD is what you get when a bunch of Unix hackers sit down to try to port a Unix system to the PC.
