I also think baking the configs into the packages is counter-intuitive myself, as it's harder to take apart a package, edit, and repackage every time than just having the package provide a binary and a config file. As far as contributions go, there's a lot to add to the designs and the like without having to write any actual code. As I don't know python myself, I'll probably end up sticking towards this side more. I'll also be happy to actually do the writing about the things that can be riced as well. |
