nixers is basically "nixer school". We have opinionated discussions here. We influence each other, and other people. We are responsible for many trends in /r/unixporn. I think that we should look at ourselves this way. We're a relatively small community with all kinds of people, but we have achieved a lot, I think. I do not support a merge of the two communities because;

- /r/unixporn is not the same kind of a community as we are. We have a thread named "Show us your screenshots!" which is basically /r/unixporn of Nixers. And it's only a small part of the whole forum.
- We are already actively in relations with /r/unixporn and the knowledge transfer is already huge. Subscribers of the subreddit already knows where to find us, and I'm pretty sure that those who come here will know that we are an entirely different community for different things, and they will stay here only if they are interested. Many people in /r/unixporn would be interested, but many wouldn't
