Textual is the best IRC client for OS X. You have to pay for the binary but the source is available [here](https://github.com/Codeux/Textual/).
For those who don't have Xcode installed like me, [here](http://paste.xinu.at/LN9rgq/)'s a compiled version(64). It looks like this: ![img](http://paste.xinu.at/aAJJl/) |

It's actually a great way to sell your app and getting free bug fixes.

you need Xcode to do that. Not everybody needs/wants that installed. I just install gcc/llvm/clang and some other dev tools but never Xcode.

It's a lie! The best IRC client is irssi, that's it.

irssi is great. but textual is the best gui irc client for mac.

Weechat is obviously superior to irssi and everything else.

No it's not. It has lots of cool features and is easier to configure but it's full of bug and is rather unstable.

nah, irssi is quite good. Tbh alot of people run to weechat because of the huge source of scripts, and nothing else. I am not implying you guys do, just saying.

Emacs with ERC is the best IRC client.
-- <mort> choosing a terrible license just to be spiteful towards others is possibly the most tux0r thing I've ever seen |
