It's the summer of 2014 and we're doing some pretty major overhauls around here. We're working on a light theme for the forums, it will be a much cleaner and simpler look for the place and we think it's a step up. For some other things we wanted to ask you guys for your opinions.
Some things I am thinking about removing:

I would agree about the thanks feature, since we talk about most threads on IRC or just comment.

It looks like the background-color is not set so it takes the default background-color of the browser.

It seems we have figured out the problem:
User CP > Edit Options > Thread View Options > "View posts in classic mode" should be <font color="red"><b>DISABLED</b></font> |

I actually preferred the white background image and slightly darker posts.
