I've used xubuntu so far in my unix journey. Now I'm changing to Arch Linux. Wish me luck.

This is how I install Arch:
Code: 1. gdisk /dev/sda |

Good luck!
arch isn't that hard i'm sure you'll be fine. Tonight I am going to install either slackware or exherbo. Which sounds worse: A complicated package manager or a very bare bones one? |

The installation process used to be simpler.
You did the exact same thing as the commands but by selecting options from a menu. Too bad they removed it. |

You've reminded me that I *really* need to install crux or openbsd. Even arch isn't barebones enough nor configurable eventually (Also systemd)

I'm reinstalling Arch tonight.
Well, a little more complex than that. I created system images for each of my computers, and home servers. They're all going to be more integrated than they were before. It's why I love Unix. Edit; If you end up hating systemd but loving Arch, take a look here http://systemd-free.org/ |

I'm in. I made it. After about 4 hours of experimentation and reinstalls I have Arch with xfce. I'll report back with some ricing later.
