Intel HD 3000 issues in Xorg - BSD

So if you're in the IRC, you probably know about my issue, but I thought I would post for general discussion.
My GPU is Intel HD 3000 integrated, and the xf86-video-intel driver doesn't work. It's a known issue, it's not just me. Proprietary drivers straight from Intel won't work, and neither will Code: # X -configure I found a page with patches for GEM and KMS, but I'm not entirely sure how to go about using them as I'm relatively new to BSD (ex-Arch user). Page with patches: http://wiki.freebsd.org/Intel_GPU Info on problem: http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=ne...&px=OTYzMA if anyone has any time to help me out, even if it's just a small explanation, I would appreciate it. |
