I have a proposition when it comes to the podcast. I believe that our content is highly informative as such I believe we should reach a larger audience. Now I know that Nixers is more or less a homegrown movement but at the same time we want our voices to be heard. As such I propose that we use Hacker Public Radio as ONE of the release mechanisms for the podcast itself. HPR is starting to dwindle on the amount of shows that they have and I believe that having a stable foundation provided by the Nixers community would really help them out. I dont know its just a thought, leave comments and critiques in the comments.

That's a good idea actually. I've never heard of this website before. Are you sure it will reach a large audience?

Yea it wont be a huge audience but it will definitely be bigger then Nixers and moderately sized. To be honest I think that its good that its a tight-knit community Network of podcastors compared to something like Juniper Broadcasting. Having HPR would fit with our mentality of keeping it close to the "metal" so to speak:-)

Their irc channel (#oggcastplanet on freenode) links to http://unixporn.com in the topic header, so they would probably get a kick out of a non-ironic ricing podcast :P Looking through the archive it doesn't look like they ever covered it before, either.

I'm fine with uploading it there. As long as they're fine with general fuckery and not sticking to the topic and the last half hour being people talking about random shit. lol
