					I used crunchbang live cd to make it happen. You can use whatever you feel like. first i downloaded stage-3 and portage to my home partition. from here http://www.funtoo.org/wiki/Download notes from my installation. Code: Create ext4 filesystem with labels Dont forget wireless_tools, wpa_supplicant and maybe wicd if you rocking wireless. | |||

					I had heard the name, but I wasn't aware Funtoo was basically a reimagining of Gentoo by the original founder.  I'm gunna install this. MOD EDIT: No profanity please. | |||

As simon mentioned, they use git instead rsync for the portage tree, and they have a slightly different tree. Funtoo also has some additional neat tools, and a **great** selection of hardware-specific stage3 tarballs.
