What happened? It seems that everyone has been banned from the server, and there is a notice asking to connect to "unix.chat".
I can't connect to the server from vypr's server (too many connections it seems). Can someone give a little bit of infos about it? |

Yeah some explanation would be nice, and I can't connect from vps.iotek.org either, had to use my personal server. Gah.

The hostname points to a new address: 178.62.240.114
For other problems I'll have to contact dcat. |

Just a noob question: how would I go about connecting to the new irc? Just write 178.62.240.114 as the server?

you shouldn't have to change anything, "irc.nixers.net" was updated to point to the new URL.

just point your irc client to: unix.chat
update: irc.nixers.net irc.iotek.org irc.unix.chat unix.chat all point to the same place. |

I'll check that with dcat directly then, thanks.

Everything is back to normal.
You'll have to register you nick again on the new server. |
