Solidrun Cubox-i - z3bra - 22-06-2017 Hey guys! https://www.solid-run.com/freescale-imx6-family/cubox-i I'm planning to get one of these mini PC soon (The i4pro) as a home server (music/VPNs/storage/backup), and I was wondering if anyone had experience with them already? They seem pretty cool and look nice, and have rather good support it seems (openbsd, netbsd, arch, debian, ...) Any though? RE: Solidrun Cubox-i - kyberkhrime - 23-06-2017 As far as I know, the i.MX-processors are based off ARM Cortex-A9, which means that they don't have support for AES-instructions, which in turn will make your performance for things like disk encryption or VPN (most likely) horrible. Which would be a big turn-off for me. |
