Post: RE: What will the world of Linux be like in 3 year...
I would be happy if there was some smooth way to integrate it into Kodi/XBMC which is what my HTPC runs now. It's a bit too slow for playing games unfortunately, but maybe in the future when there ar... |

I really hope it evolves in to something that can be used for a "complete" livingroom-pc; something that I can play gam... |

I think the "Desktop Customization" section of the forums could be re-branded as
"Unixporn" related forum
I agree.
As far as I'm concerned, the IRC activities should stay hosted by iotek. Up

I'd like to help too. I know python and some C, but I prefer none programming related tasks (for now) don't really have the energy for any more projects at the moment. |

Post: RE: Nixers sourced tiling web browser
UZBL can do this. Many moons ago I had UZBL hook up to awesomes sockets and manage it's own layouts, very convenient.
UZBL itself isn't horribly convenient though, albeit very configurable. |

I really like the diary idea. I feel a bit "sheltered" here in my GNU/Linux world. I want to know what people running more obscure systems are using their machines for. |

Hmm... you're right, it's missing. It isn't in some hidden layer in the firmware either.

Just found this project on github.
It's a modified Filco Minila with a custom firmware. You can tell the creator has really thought about stuff, it even has a "Tmux"-key.

No root might not be horribly hard... you'd just not be able to install/update anything or change system wide configurations. |
