He couldn't even secure his own IRC channel, how's he gonna know how to shut down #unixhub?
He may have enlisted some help though.

I haven't scanned the server(s) for UH, so I'm unsure of whether the IRC server is on the same box as this forum, but if so, then there's some other technical issue which has been affecting the IRC channel - this forum has been unaffected.

My intuition tells me that one of the newcomers to the IRC channel may be the responsible party - if the outage is of external origin.
