@albertocg:
Yeah...hm...I know none of these words. But technically it's good. Loads quite fast (even through tor), works without javascript-that already puts it to the top 1% of all websites. |

Pretty basic MyBB site, I don't like having a home page, just like having some projects on my hands and that one is it right now :P |

Or a simple meta tag. One line and it becomes responsive.

Sorry about that. Your user has been activated :P Instant activation is now enabled until I find the time to fix this. Final exams coming up and little time on my hands. |

I made a a wiki page for people to add their sites to. If you want to add your site or update something, you can already do it if you're in the nixers-projects org. If not, ask to be added by one of the org owners (asking on IRC is probably a good bet).
I already started off the list of sites with all of the sites in this thread, so your site might already be on there. |

It's amazing to see how short-lived some of your websites are, given the number of 404s when clicking through this thread.

Yeah one thing I've noticed is that a lot of people here seem to have ideas and commit to them for a bit and then decide on a big change up and drop it. I don't know. I have a few ideas for a blog but I can never find the motivation or time.

I suppose that's because the people with less content on their sites feel less attached to them, so don't think twice about deleting it. Most of the sites that have been up for multiple years, I'm noticing, are sites with lots of blog posts. my website: kaashif.co.uk

My project meta website (not Nixers-ready because it's in German), initially made for having a complete list of my project at hand, has been blog-centric since 2005 now. Indeed, blogs are more interesting than "personal websites", especially since you should keep them "updated" every now and then.

I began posting in english, too, so why not mention the blog:
https://www.uninformativ.de/ (Let's not forget about the gopher hole, of course: gopher://uninformativ.de/) Speaking of short-lived websites: That blog is alive since 2006, but with a major break in 2015-09. I threw away all the old PHP code. All links broke. :/ But the content is still there. I admit: I also set up some really short-lived websites over the years. Mostly, they were about some game I played at that time. Once I stopped playing this game, I "forgot" about the page, and as soon as I switched servers/providers again, the page got lost. Well... Funny enough, people always say "the internet forgets nothing". Oh yes, it does. The web is much more volatile than you'd think. It just doesn't forget some stuff that reached a certain popularity. |
