That's really nice. I'll see if I can cobble up a nice dark-ish spin-off.

Scratch that; CSS is weird.

I'm working on an open sauce last alternative. https://wilt.fm/ currently in alpha.

@mpcsh: Looks really nice.
NearlyFreeSpeech seems promising, I'll look into it.

I also started working on a small website, although it isn't done yet
at all. Also, I want to host it on ipfs, preferably on a node on OpenBSD,
but that isn't ready yet. Maybe the following link works, maybe not:

@pranomostro

IPFS looks greatly promising!

This link worked for me, but for these two pages:

- https://ipfs.io/ipns/QmVv8oVhViSVDWMHyha...index.html
- https://ipfs.io/ipns/QmVv8oVhViSVDWMHyha...index.html

@mpcsh

True real solarized website!

Mine looks much worse than the one I saw here.

It is just a 100 lines POSIX shell script that spits text from README in a <code>&lt;pre&gt;</code> (man page).

[EDIT] hehe, the man page is quite as big as the implementation.
[EDIT2] fixed script link.

@josuah:

The current problem is that I don't have my laptop running all the time, and atm it is the machine that functions as my personal ipfs node. I have a machine at home that could do that, but first I have to get ipfs running on OpenBSD.

I really like your website. Would work perfectly with gopher/9P/ipfs or whatever the user wants to use.
Plaintext ftw!

Documentation is good! I have also had that, README+manpage>sloc. It's okay I guess, since documentation is a much lower overhead than code.

Edit: Little bonus of running a site on ipfs: a history of every published version of the website is available at https://ipfs.io/ipns/QmVv8oVhViSVDWMHyha...d/stat_ver, the first entry in the list being the oldest version, and the last the newest.

I like the design. Good job!

My old website is down, I decided to create a new one.

http://brunojesus.tk/
http://brunojesus.tk/blog

I will change the main page for blog as soon as I made the blog page more "professional".
I have very little content and probably a lot of typos.

@strang3quark:

Did you use bootstrap for that? Looks nice, and, like you said, quite professional.

Yes, but I only did some adjustments to the template, I don't like to do design.
I'm focusing in the backoffice right now, all the fields are in a database and I'm using the Codeigniter framework.

EDIT: I successfully got the domain back and brought my old website online again: http://strang3quark.tk

Just awoke my site from the dead and created a nice placeholder.

http://hadenodom.info

Problem is, after I made the placeholder index.html with links to my git, resume, and twitter, I realized that this works perfectly. So... I might just keep it like this, maybe just decorate it a little more? idk.

I saw your github, why don't you use your 'php-file-blog'?

I don't really want it to be a blog.

However, after thinking about what I want my site to be for a couple of days, I think I'm going to use something similiar:

Using a server-side language (I want to learn something other than PHP, so this will be a learning experience), I want to make a dynamic portfolio engine that lets me push new portfolio entries as a link, a picture, a title, and a description, using a script. This one won't be text-based, but will use a database.

As well, I want to make a new blog engine that isn't file-based, but is database-based, and publish it as "DSBE - Dead Simple Blog Engine" or something similar.

EDIT:

TODO:
- Implement Portfolio Engine
- Implement new Stylesheet for site
- Create sample sites for Portfolio to show CSS3 and javascript skills
- Make site appear differently on mobile

I went with the Venam trend, making my website look like my WM. I should probably replace the jQuery.

On that note, I've moved my blog to the root of my website and put the old one into /old.
So: https://venam.nixers.net and https://venam.nixers.net/old

Yes, work for one of the state agencies there. I've lived in different places between Portland and Eugene for 20 years, it would take a feat of gods to make me move from the Willamette Valley
