hey,
so i'm an arch linux user. i have a number of bitmap fonts installed. i can see them when i run Code: fc-list Code: sublime_text: cairo-scaled-font.c:459: _cairo_scaled_glyph_page_destroy: Assertion `!scaled_font->cache_frozen' failed. i'm a relativity new archer, and didn't have any of these issues on debian. i'm really not sure what to try next. thanx in advance for suggestions!

How do you set the 'interface' font exactly? Do you mean with lxappearance (~/.gtkrc-2.0)?

Sorry, don't know why… You reset cache (fc-cache -fv)? Does your browser use gtk/qt too (does it also crash)?

i'm not exactly sure how chromium renders fonts. but, i just tried it and i *can* use them in chromium without it crashing, weird. but wow do they look awful anti-aliased.

I don't think bitmap fonts are supposed to be anti-aliased are they? Good luck with finding the issue, how do you get by without your text editor? Have you gone through https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fonts? What are some examples of other programs that crash, is it just everything excluding chromium?
