Yeah first off topic post, was bound to be me. I speak a little welsh, sign language and i'm an expert at lipreading due to being brought up in a hearing impaired unit. Welsh is all that really counts there, and English I guess.

We make mistakes, because we are humans,
that is something we can't be proud of.
But we are more then just humans, we are geeks
and that is something to be proud of.

I am a dumb American, thus I only speak English.

Took three years of Spanish in high school, and a year and a half of German in college, but have forgotten pretty much all of it.

I am also in the (very slow) process of teaching myself Japanese.

Wow, what an awesome thread! (this should be talked about more in the IRC though)
OK, so here is my turn.
I live in the same country as Prominent, Lebanon. Here the official languages are French, English, and the local version of Arabic, Lebanese Arabic, and classical Arabic so everyone here learns them at school. We also got the online version of Arabic Arabizi.
I am a native from Quebec and due to that my preferred language is French Quebecois.
I love English because it's the language of freedom and reunion, an international language, broken English.
I also speak a little of Spanish because I had 4 years of Spanish course at school but it's fading, though I still understand it.
