I'm using Fantasque Sans Mono on XTerm. It has ligatures, emoji , most of unicode characters and fits well while browsing inside terminal .

ksh on OpenBSD normally does the job. However, while using other systems bash is unbeatable due to its enormous scripting capabilities. At least for me, lol.
